TiviMate is a player app used on Android TV-based televisions and media boxes. This page covers adding a playlist to the app, organising channel groups, defining the programme guide and playback preferences step by step.
Watching habits on a television differ from a phone or computer: you navigate with the remote, the channel list has to be readable on the big screen and the programme information must appear together with the channel name. For this reason, players suited to the remote are preferred on Android TV-based devices.
Player choice does not change the content scope; it only determines the interface and the settings available. The same subscription can be used on different players. The setup flow IPTV setup guide, adding a playlist on the M3U setup page.
Android TV
Setup on television-based players is completed in five steps: the app is installed, the playlist is added, the data is fetched, the channel layout is created and the guide is defined. The steps are done with the remote control in a few minutes.
The player is downloaded from the device's app store. On some devices it may not appear in the store list; in that case the device's app support is checked.
When the app is opened for the first time, the add playlist section appears. On later uses, a new playlist is added from the settings menu.
The M3U playlist address or the Xtream login details are selected and typed into the fields. After saving, the player starts fetching the channel list.
Categories you do not want to see are hidden, frequently watched channels are added to favourites and the order is changed.
The guide source is added and channel matching is carried out. Once matching is complete, the current programme information appears in the channel list.
Typing a long playlist address on a television is a chore; copying the address from your phone and pasting it into the login field is the most practical method. Once the details are entered they should be checked on the screen and the playlist refreshed if needed. If the stream freezes IPTV freezing page are followed.
On television-based players the picture, sound and remote control experience are part of the setup. The headings below summarise the checks made after installation.
| Check item | Why it matters | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| AppDevice support | On devices that are not in the app store, the setup is done with another player. | The device's app support and version are checked; if needed, an alternative player is chosen. |
| PlaylistData fetch | If the playlist appears empty, the login details may be incomplete or the connection may be interrupted. | The details are checked again, the playlist is refreshed and the app is restarted. |
| PictureResolution and screen compatibility | Settings that do not match the device resolution can distort the picture. | The aspect ratio and resolution settings are set to the value the device supports. |
| SoundSound and subtitle preferences | The audio track or subtitle selection may differ from channel to channel. | The sound and subtitle options on the playback screen are checked for each channel. |
| GuideProgramme information | If the guide is not configured, the programme name and time information do not appear. | The guide source is added, matching is carried out and the channel list is refreshed. |
| ScopeSimultaneous devices | If the same subscription is opened on two devices at the same time, the stream may be cut off. | The subscription is defined for 1 simultaneous device; a separate subscription is taken for a second screen. |
When the checks are complete, smooth viewing on the television is provided. If the channels do not open at all IPTV not opening page, if programme information does not arrive, the steps on the EPG not working pages.
The playlist and login details remain valid for the duration of the subscription. The content scope is the same across all duration options; the choice determines the total amount and the monthly average.

TiviMate is a player app used on televisions and media boxes. It plays the subscription's channel list, movie and series titles and the programme guide; the app itself does not provide any streams.
Android TV-based televisions and media boxes are the devices where this app is most commonly used. Its availability and version in the app store may vary depending on the device manufacturer; the device's app support is checked before installation.
The app is installed on the device and opened. The first screen shows the add playlist section; the playlist is created here by entering the M3U playlist address or the Xtream login details.
The player's guide settings are opened, the EPG source is added and channel matching is started. Once matching is complete, the programme currently on air appears in the channel list.
The categories you want to see are selected in the group settings, frequently watched channels are added to favourites and the order is changed. The layout you set up is stored on the device.
The app may include extra features depending on its own version; these do not change the scope of the subscription. Subscription scope is always determined by the content and the number of simultaneous devices.
First the playlist is refreshed and the app is restarted. If the problem continues, the login details, connection speed and number of devices are checked; the detailed steps are on the troubleshooting pages.
