Xtream Codes setup is completed by entering the server address, username and password shared within the subscription scope into the player. This page covers filling in the login fields correctly, the causes of login errors, the guide status and the connection scope per device.
Xtream login is based on signing in with user details instead of typing a long playlist address. The player fetches the channel list, the content groups and the guide information itself through the server address entered. For this reason it becomes critical that the fields are written completely and correctly.
The login details stay the same even if the device changes; they only need to be entered again in the relevant field of the player. If setup with a detailed playlist address is preferred, see the M3U setup, and for the player choice the IPTV apps page.
Login support
Setup with Xtream login is completed in four steps: the details are prepared, the correct login type is selected in the player, the fields are filled in and the playlist and guide are verified. Even if the steps appear under different names in the player interface, the flow is the same.
The server address, username and password shared within the subscription scope are noted down. Using the details with copy and paste removes typing errors.
On the player add account screen, the Xtream Codes or API option is selected instead of an M3U playlist. In some players this choice is found in the account type list.
The server address, username and password are entered in the relevant fields and the account is saved. After saving, the player starts pulling the playlist; this takes a short time depending on the connection speed.
The channel groups, content titles and programme information are checked. For sections that appear incomplete the playlist is refreshed; if the problem continues the login details and the network connection are reviewed again.
If the login fails, first verify that all three fields are written without spaces; then check whether the same details are signed in on another device. If the problem continues, follow the steps on the IPTV not opening and technical support pages.
When the Xtream login is complete the playlist is pulled; however, a few items must be checked for the login to work permanently. The table below summarises these checks and how they are carried out.
| Check item | Why it matters | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| InfoAccuracy of the fields | A wrong server address or password means the account never opens. | The details are entered with copy and paste and read back from the account screen after saving. |
| PlayerXtream support | Players that support only M3U do not have an Xtream login field. | The login types on the add account screen are checked; if they are absent, setup is done with the playlist format. |
| PlaylistGroups forming | If the login succeeded but the playlist is empty, the pull may not have been completed. | The account is refreshed, the player is closed and reopened, and the group titles are checked. |
| EPGGuide information | If the guide does not match up, the programme name and time information does not appear. | The source is selected in the player guide settings, and the programme information is checked after matching. |
| ScopeSimultaneous devices | If the same login is used on two devices the stream can be cut off. | The number of devices is planned; a separate subscription is defined for a second screen. |
| SecurityNot sharing the details | Login details are personal; if they are shared the subscription limit may be exceeded. | The details are used only on your own devices and screenshots are not shared. |
Once the login checks are complete the account works reliably. For playlist management and app settings see the IPTV apps page.
The login details remain valid for the duration of the subscription. The content scope is the same in all duration options; the choice only affects the total amount and the monthly average.

Subscriptions are defined for a single simultaneous connection. Users who want to watch on a second device at the same time need a separate subscription per device.
For 2 devices the total is 60 EUR for 3 months, 100 EUR for 6 months and 160 EUR for 12 months; for 3 devices it is calculated as 90 / 150 / 240 EUR.
The trial period is 3 hours and the refund period for subscriptions is 3 days. The details of the terms are on the refund and subscription terms page.
Each subscription is defined for 1 simultaneous device; the login details cannot be used on a second device at the same time. The duration options are on the IPTV prices, scope comparison package comparison page.
Xtream Codes is a login format in which the IPTV subscription is defined in the player through the server address, username and password. Setup is done with less information than an M3U playlist, and the channel list appears directly inside the player.
They are entered on the player screen headed Xtream Codes, Xtream API or user details login. All three fields must be entered completely and without spaces; the details are shared within the subscription scope.
Typing errors in the username or password, an incomplete server address and network restrictions blocking the connection are the most common causes. The details are entered with copy and paste and tried again.
The subscription is defined for 1 simultaneous device. If the same login is used on a second device at the same time the stream can be cut off; for independent viewing on two screens a separate subscription is taken per device.
In players that support Xtream login the guide information can be defined together with the login. If the programme information appears empty, the source is selected in the player EPG settings and the matching is refreshed.
The playlist is reloaded and the player cache is cleared. The subscription scope is checked so that updates are reflected; if the gap continues the channel name is passed to the support team.
Most IPTV-focused players support both M3U and Xtream login. If the player on your device does not support Xtream login, the same subscription can be used with an M3U playlist address.
For more information about the login formats see the M3U setup, and for device support the device compatibility page.
