If the programme guide (EPG) is not showing, if the times have shifted or if the channel names do not match, the problem is usually solved with a list refresh, the device clock or a player setting. This page explains the steps in order.
The channel list and the programme guide are not the same thing. The list carries the addresses of the channels, while the guide brings the broadcast schedule of those channels as a separate data layer. This is why the guide can appear empty while the channels play without a problem.
When the guide data reaches the device it is matched with the channel names. If no match can be made, empty rows appear or the times shift. For this reason the first steps are to refresh the list and verify the device clock; to be sure that the channel list is set up correctly you can check the M3U setup page.
Programme guide
The most effective steps in programme guide problems start with the list and the clock settings. When the steps are applied in order, it becomes clear whether the problem comes from the list, the device or the player.
The list refresh is started in the player. Fetching the guide data can take a few minutes depending on the connection speed.
The date, time and time zone setting of the device is checked. A time shift makes the guide appear different from the real time.
The player may take the guide from within the list or may require a separate address. The details given during setup must be entered correctly in this field.
The guide is checked on another channel and, if possible, in another player. If the result changes, the problem is related to the player setting.
The player name, the device model and the names of the channels whose guide is missing are noted; support is contacted with these details.
Guide data may not be provided in the same detail for every channel. It is normal for the guide to stay empty on the odd channel; if the guide is missing on most of the channels, the list refresh and the player settings are reviewed. What the guide is for is explained on the EPG guide page.
Problems with the programme guide may look similar to each other, but their causes are different. The table below shows the first action to take according to the symptom.
| Check item | Why it matters | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Empty guideThere is no programme information on any channel | The guide data has not been fetched at all or no source is defined. | The list is refreshed, the player is restarted and the guide source is checked. |
| Time shiftProgrammes appear at the wrong time | The time zone or the clock of the device is wrong. | The date, time and time zone settings are corrected and the guide is fetched again. |
| Missing channelThere is no guide on only some channels | The guide data of the channel in question may not be provided. | The list is refreshed; the situation is reported to the support team together with the channel name. |
| MismatchThe name of another programme appears | The channel names do not match the guide data. | The channel line-up is loaded again; if the problem continues, the list source is checked. |
| Late loadingThe guide is empty at start-up and fills later | The data download takes time. | Wait a short while; if it persists, the connection speed and the player settings are reviewed. |
| RecordingRecordings cannot be scheduled | The recording feature works depending on the guide data. | Once the guide is fixed, scheduling a recording is tried again. |
If the channels are not showing either because the guide is not coming through, the steps on the IPTV not opening page, and if the stream is stuttering, on the IPTV freezing page apply.
Once the programme guide is fixed, the subscription duration needs to be sufficient for your viewing pattern to continue. The content scope is the same across all duration options.

EPG is the programme guide that shows the broadcast schedule of the channels. It shows which programme starts at what time and makes scheduling recordings easier.
The guide data may not have been loaded, no EPG source may be defined in the list, or the data may not yet have been fetched from the server. Refreshing the list is usually the first solution.
The time and time zone setting of the device is checked. A wrong time zone makes the guide appear different from the real time.
This situation usually arises because the guide data of the channel in question is not provided. Refreshing the channel list can correct the matching of some channels.
The guide data is refreshed at regular intervals. If the device has been off for a long time, updating the guide can take a few minutes.
Some players take the guide data from within the list, while others require a separate address. The details provided during setup are entered in the player field.
Contact support by sharing the player name, the device model and the names of the channels whose guide is not showing. The problem may come from the list or from the player.
For problems other than the guide, the steps on the IPTV not opening and IPTV freezing pages apply.
