A guide prepared for watching Turkish channels in the UK over the internet: a time difference of up to 3 hours, the live broadcast timetable, line types and device choice.
A satellite installation is not essential for following Turkish channels in the UK; IPTV runs over your existing home internet. Fibre, cable and DSL lines are all used in the country; which line is available should be known before setup.
The time difference in the UK is more pronounced than in other European countries: in the winter months Türkiye is 3 hours ahead and in the summer months 2 hours. Because of this difference live match and news bulletin times may fall in the daytime in the UK.
Broadcast schedule
Setup in the UK starts with clarifying the line type and converting broadcast times to local time; then the device and guide settings are completed.
Fibre, cable and DSL lines do not deliver the same performance. Compare the measurement result with the ranges on the internet speed page.
In the winter months the difference is 3 hours and in the summer months 2 hours. Noting the live broadcast schedule according to UK time prevents missing programmes.
One of the options — Smart TV, Fire TV Stick or a media player — is chosen: device compatibility.
The player is installed and the login details are entered. The order of the steps in the IPTV setup guide is described step by step.
The switching speed and picture quality are assessed with a short test broadcast; favourite channels and match channels are moved to the top.
Because of the time difference some live broadcasts fall in the daytime in the UK. In this case it helps to feed the programme guide from the right source and to use reminders: EPG setup.
